Jonalgadda & tejaswni Niranjan
Jonalgadda Niranjan is a fourth-generation Kalamkari artist from Srikalahasti, born into one of the tradition’s most distinguished lineages. His family has played a significant role in the revival and preservation of this celebrated art form, with works by his forebears held in collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Working with natural dyes, handmade pigments, and techniques passed down through generations, Niranjan is best known for his intricate narrative paintings, particularly his iconic Tree of Life compositions. Continuing his family’s legacy, he has also trained his daughter, Niranjan Tejaswini, in the Kalamkari tradition, and we are pleased to present her works alongside his.
